As a wholly postgraduate University, Cranfield offers a professional environment in which to study and enhance your health career.
By operating at the leading-edge of health research and development, Cranfield Health’s suite of teaching programmes are continually informed, ensuring they meet the future requirements of employers and students.
We offer a variety of postgraduate level taught courses and research degree opportunities. All our taught courses are available on a full and part-time basis. Part-time students are often in full-time employment and take from two-three years to complete the course. For full details on each of our courses click here.
There is plenty of flexibility and we recognise that many students will need to balance their studies with their career. The courses are modular and students can select modules throughout the academic year to fit in with other commitments. Most modules require students to spend one week only on campus. Students can continue with coursework assignments at a convenient time and location. Modules on our Executive MSc Programme are condensed into three days.
The majority of our courses comprise a taught module element and an individual research project. Some courses also comprise a group project or integrated portfolio. Part-time students normally carry out the individual research project in their place of work, allowing them to make an immediate impact in their own working environment.
Modules are campus based, unlike distance learning providers, with our courses you will receive strong support from fellow students and peers and direct access to teaching staff.
Modules are delivered by our leading academics and researchers and external speakers from industry – commercial and non commercial organisations.
We provide extensive support to students during their study – whilst on and off-campus. 24 hour distance learning support is provided to all students via ‘Blackboard’, a virtual learning environment to which all students on the course are automatically registered. Blackboard is the primary means of contact by all University staff for information (including course handbooks, timetables and lecture materials). In addition, the Course Director will provide you with email and telephone support, if required.
Location and on-campus accommodation
Our Cranfield campus in located between Milton Keynes and Bedford. It’s also only an hour away by road or rail to Oxford and Cambridge and London. Good quality, reasonably priced short term accommodation is available on campus should you wish to stay whilst studying for individual modules.
